Wolves' tour of Norway has been organised
by former Walsall director of football
Paul Taylor.
Since leaving Bescot Stadium in 2002,
Taylor has formed his own football consultancy
business, with organising tours just one
of its branches.
During his time in football, first as
a player, then manager and finally director
of football, Taylor has built up contacts
all around the world and has used them
to get his Lichfield-based business, Pro
Soccer Consulting Ltd, up and running.
His Norwegian contact, Knut Kristiansen,
has also played a key role in making sure
the tour has run smoothly.
Kristiansen, a former chairman of Brann
Bergen and a long time contact of Wolves
boss Dave Jones, has done a lot of the
spadework while the clubs have been in
the country, organising the travel arrangements,
training facilities and hotels.
The Wolves tour is the first for Taylor's
new business, but many more are just around
the corner. He has also organised Everton's
forthcoming visit to Houston, which leaves
tomorrow, Real Zaragoza's tour to England,
which takes in games against Bolton and
Watford, and Boavista's participation
in Albion's 125th anniversary game on
July 7.
And if the other tours are as successful
as Wolves' trip then Taylor's firm, which
he runs alongside his son Mark, is sure
to go from strength to strength. |
