LACEY SIGNS NEW DEAL AT LUTON

LACEY SIGNS NEW DEAL AT LUTON

Luton Town defender Alex Lacey has signed a new two-year contract with the club.

The 20-year-old has made 19 appearances this season, and scored his first senior goal in the 4-0 win at Woking back in September.

Town manager John Still told lutontown.co.uk: "We're delighted to have Alex sign a new deal because I rate him very highly. He's got a big future and I'm looking forward to seeing him improve and progress - hopefully in a higher league."

Lacey made his first Town appearance in a 0-0 draw against Welling United as a 17 year old and has since made 28 appearances in Luton colours, establishing himself as a regular this season. His early season form saw him linked with a host of clubs from higher leagues, so the Hatters will see it as a real coup to see him sign a new deal with his home-town club who look set to win promotion back to League 2 this season.
