After a successful pre-season with Manchester City’s first team in the USA (which included a goal against top Mexican side, Club America) and an impressive one-month loan at Championship outfit Crystal Palace, Ryan McGivern has penned a new 2-year deal with Premier League pacesetters Manchester City on the eve of the 2011 summer transfer window.

He was immediately loaned out to Championship side Bristol City for a season-long loan in order for him to continue his development.

Over the last year Ryan has also established himself member of the Northern Ireland national team, already having amassed 14 caps despite his tender age of 21.
