MIFSUD MOVES TO THE SKY BLUES

PSC can confirm that Coventry City have signed Maltese international Michael Mifsud on a Bosman free transfer from Norwegian side Lillestrom after his contract with the Norwegian outfit expired on 31 December 2006.

The 25-year-old striker, who has also played in the Bundesliga for FC Kaiserslautern, agreed a two-and-a-half year deal at the Ricoh Arena. Mifsud has twice been named Maltese player of the year and starred in Lillestrom's 1-1 draw with Newcastle United at St James Park in the Intertoto Cup last July.

The Maltese striker followed up a lively debut against Crystal Palace with a golascoring appearance against Plymouth Argyle, in front of the live Sky TV cameras.
